Since 2010, the Shepshed Lions’ Charity Carnival has been providing a day of family fun and entertainment for the entire community. The carnival is not for profit and run entirely for the benefit of the local community.

All proceeds made from the carnival go back into our community – to those who need it most. Now in its eighth year, the carnival has become one of the cultural highlights in our community’s summer calendar and has raised over £28,000 since it began.

The carnival attracts over 3,000 people each year. It relies upon the support of local people and local businesses in order to host the widest possible range of attractions and raise the maximum amount of money for our charitable causes.

Whilst supporting the charity carnival will give you that certain warm glow that only a good deed can, we understand that warm glows don’t pay the bills.  So, it’s a good thing that your support offers a genuine business opportunity too.

If you’re interested in sponsoring this year’s carnival, please feel free to download our sponsorship brochure here, get in touch with us at any time or if you prefer you can pay by PayPal in just a few clicks here:Donations are always welcome in order to help us to build a stronger community in Shepshed and to help those who need it the most.

Shepshed Town Council supports the Shepshed Lions Club

It is Carnival Time again, and yet again, we have fantastic support from The Shepshed Town Council. They have generously sponsored an advert for the Carnival in the Shepshed Eye and kindly granted permission for us to use the Glenmore Park for the event free of charge. This support will help increase the amount of money raised to enable us to help those less fortunate in our community.

Lion President Bob Lilley said, “ The support from Shepshed Town Council is amazing, but they support us in our other projects such as the Christmas Market in Hallcroft in December. The Town Council also supports the Shepshed Lions Club Community First Responders with the use of the Town Council Offices for training, and have given generous financial support to the scheme to enable us to buy new equipment. Without this support things would be much more difficult for the club. Their support is invaluable and I would like to thank the Town Council members for their help”.
